PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS (PHE) : The selection of the heat exchanger depends on the products characteristics such as velocity, temperature, viscosity and particle size. The heat transfer is carried out on PHE by indirect method and in some applications direct. The PHE consist of stack of plates made from AISI SS 316 L / 304 L, or titanium where separate sections are divided for preheating, final heating, cooling and regeneration action. The plate is designed in a corrugated pattern, for the efficient heat transfer. The connections for heating medium like hot water or steam and cooling medium such as glycol, ice water and brine water are provided. The surface of the PHE is sealed with a Gaskets around the plate corners for preventing from leakage and internal mixing. The flow patterns are cross-flow or parallel flow depending on the product. The most important things we consider while designing the heat exchanger is, that we ensure product with efficient heat transfer as well as output with high quality result by giving desired texture and flavor.
Pressure Plate & Frame Plate : They are self-supporting & hygienic design pressure and frame plate. The material of construction is stainless steel cladded of AISI 304 L with glass bead blasted or polished.
Plate Pack : The plates are stacked together as per the design and holes type in order to achieve the proper heat transfer area. They are supported with top carrying bar and lower bar. The material of plates is of titanium, AISI SS 316 L / 304 L. The intermediate box is used to separate these plates into sections.
Gaskets : Gaskets are designed to ensure safety as well as leakage prevention and internal mixing of the fluid. The gasket types are clip-on and glued with the adhesive material and O-rings are fitted in sealing groove. They are made of high quality material like EPDM, Nitrile, Butyl, Silicon, Viton rubber which makes sure that the sealing is ensured properly on PHE. Sanitary design gaskets are continuously bonded to the PHE plates for proper segregation of process fluid.
Carrying Bars : The carrying bars are used to suspends the plates also they are supported to pressure and frame plates. It is made from AISI SS 304 L for upper and lower.
Tightening Bolts : Tightening Bolt are provided to compress the plates and gaskets as per the tightening length to seal the fluid.
End Support : It is used to supports the rear ends of the top and bottom guide bars.
Connections : The connections are with SMS, Tri-clover, DIN & Flange
