WHAT IS A COOLING TOWER
Cooling tower is an evaporative type heat rejection device which extracts heat from the hot water and allows a small portion of circulating water to evaporate (using latent and sensible heat) which causes a significant cooling of rest of the circulating hot water.

COOLING TOWER – SQUARE TYPE
Being Square, the air flow through the Draught Cooling tower is more evenly distributed. Structural members do not interrupt air intake and therefore they have been proven to be thermo- dynamically the most efficient design in the field. This translated directly into reducing running costs. The tower offers PVC fills and eliminators in a design that maximizes economy and efficiency. The counter flow design facilitates low pump heads. The water is distributed inside the tower over the fill area through the self rotating sprinkler so as to give an even distribution over the complete fill area.

FRP Cooling Towers are of vertical induced draught counter flow design with uniform water distribution and optimal heat transfer. Cooling towers can be installed independent of wind velocity
Especially designed energy efficient fans are induced draught axial type with adjustable pitch. Fan blades pitch is factory set and dynamically balanced.
The tower is made of tough fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP induced cooling towers) and has sufficient structural strength to withstand high wind velocity and vibrations. Gel coat is used for UV rays protection and longer life. The water sump is also of FRP and is leak proof.
The fill is of rigid poly vinyl chloride (PVC) and is of honey come design with very large contact surface area. The purpose of fill is to split the water and air into several streams to increase the time of contact and also heat transfer between air and water.
The motors are totally enclosed (IP-55) flange type, 415 V, 50Hz., induction weather proof with extended shaft and are especially designed for cooling towers.
The FRP (induced) eliminator attached to the sprinkler reduces the drift loss of water and it is made of rigid PVC material.
Sprinklers are available in Brass/ SS/ Alimunium / PVC and the sprinkler pipe distributes the hot water over the entire space of the fill area. Sprinkler pipes are non- clogging and require low pressure to operate and assures uniform water flow.
