Fan hub assembly is simply designed for easy installation and minimum maintenance. It is dynamically balanced and made of stainless steel plates, aluminum clamp blocks, cast iron bush and all hardware in stainless steel for resistance against corrosion.
Fan Hub assemblies are dynamically balanced on Dynamic Balancing Machines and total Fan Blade assemblies are balanced on specially designed rig for vibration free continuous operation.
Fans are directly driven by electric motors in small models and coupled through gearbox in larger models subject to the tip speed of the fan.
The Fan Hub Assembly design is robust and large enough to avoid negative flow at the center of the fan. WELLTECH Fans are designed with a Hub diameter of 25% Fan Dia. and a Seal DIsc diameter of 33% of Fan dia.This well proven Aerodynamic requirements of Hub-to-Tip ratios are given due importance in all our designs offered to clients to ensure high efficiency operation through the life the fan.A typical Hub assembly with seal disc for 34 Ft. Dia. fan is displayed alongside.The design of the seal disc enables ease of installation and removal for any maintenance purposes.The entire Hub assembly with its Seal Disc is balanced to Gr.6.3 as per ISO.The hubs can be supplied in Carbon Steel Hot Dip Galvanized material or Stainless Steel 304 /316 to suit environmental requirements of Cooling Tower water.
The very nature of aluminum alloy us to make any desired shape and twist of the blade as needed to achieve maximum performance. A properly designed fan blade will have a non-symmetrical air foil with a variable chord and twist to compensate for the peripheral change in speed from the blade tip to the wide chord. There are a few aluminum fans that do approach this design by different methods but generally do not offer quite as much efficiency.
